There are many ways you can take part in and contribute to Global Alternative Learning Alliance’s objectives. A good place to start is to think about how what you do in the normal course of your life can naturally fit in with GALA’s work. Some examples:
- several teachers donated used laptops for the schools in Nepal
- musicians and a comedienne performed at a benefit for Junkiri School
- a local school donated the use of its theater for the fundraising benefit
- a sporting goods shop donated 20 pairs of rock climbing shoes
- a doctor asked a pharmaceutical company to donate to GALA rather than spend the equivalent funds on a promotional breakfast
- two art galleries have hosted art exhibits to benefit GALA’s projects
- a printing shop printed GALA’s brochure for the cost of the materials used
How can you support GALA’s projects through the normal course of your day-to-day life?
